Argentina hit by 5.9-magnitude earthquake

A 5.9-magnitude earthquake hit Argentina, data provided by the United States Geological Survey (USGS) showed.

According to the agency, the epicenter of the quake was some 23 kilometers south-southeast of the town of Tinogasta.

The tremor struck the region at a depth of 138.0 kilometers and it remains unknown as of yet whether any casualties or damages were suffered.
